About Reid

Reid Rumelt is a research scientist studying the impact of temperature, elevation, and precipitation gradients on community assembly in the Neotropics, particularly within the context of global change. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Miami, where he is contributing to the fields of Neotropical ornithology, data science, and conservation biology. He is a lifelong birder and naturalist, and is equally comfortable in a computer lab as in a deep rainforest. He is also an amateur photographer, and periodically posts exemplar photos here.
